From the Bronze Age hamlet to the more urban cityscapes of Roman antiquity, the Middle Ages and the epochs that followed: The settlements in Vienna’s urban area have experienced constant change and constant growth over the centuries. Thanks to archaeological finds from excavations in the Postgasse\/Dominikanerbastei area, the new archeology presentation in the “Alten Post” in the Roman Museum provides exciting insights into the checkered history of Vienna, which stretches back to the Palaeolithic Age.<\/p>\n\n
