Monterosso al Mare is the northernmost and largest village of the Cinque Terre. This is the busiest place, the beach promenade is bustling and there are a number of hotels, restaurants, bars, cafes … and the only real beach in the Cinque Terre! <\/p>\n\n
In the old town there are many small shops and small shops for all kinds of souvenirs, worth seeing is also the church of St. Giovanni Battista from the 13th\/14th century or the Capuchin monastery.<\/p>\n\n
From Levanto to Monterosso there is also a very beautiful, approx. 2.5h hike along the cliffs – as almost everywhere in the Cinque Terre with a breathtaking view of the deep blue sea!<\/p>\n\n
If the majority of day tourists leave in the late afternoon, Monterosso is particularly recommended, a sunset on the beach unforgettable!
