In 2007, this collection was handed over to the <strong>ALBERTINA Museum<\/strong> by Rita and Herbert Batliner, opening a new chapter in the history of the museum.&#13;\n&#13;\nFrom French Impressionism, Pointillism and Fauvism with works by Monet, Renoir, Degas, C\u00e9zanne, Toulouse-Lautrec, Braque and Matisse to masterpieces by the Expressionist artist groups Die Br\u00fccke and Der Blaue Reiter with paintings by Kirchner, Kandinsky and Nolde to the Russian avant-garde and numerous works by Pablo Picasso, the <strong>permanent exhibition<\/strong> presents all the groundbreaking ideas of modernism.&#13;\n&#13;\n\u00a0&#13;\n&#13;\n\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p>Herbert and Rita Batliner&#8217;s decision in 2007 to make their collection accessible to the public and to choose the ALBERTINA Museum as a partner has also enriched the museum landscape in the field of contemporary art.
